Gál Huszár (1512 ? - Pápa, 1575)

He was a printer and preacher. He studied in Krakow, then he started his printing business in 1558 with the publication of Hungarian sermons. He founded a printing house in Debrecen in 1561, which functioned after he had left. It was the base of the press of the town and is still in operation today. Later he had moving presses in Komárom, Pápa and Kassa. His song book became the basis of Lutheran liturgy and the basic source of songs of the 16th century.
