mosque

A jami or mosque, or a tower built next to a medrese or mausoleum. It was the place where the believers were called for prayer five times a day. The expression mosque came from the Arab word for "fire", so it is quite likely that fire towers built in Syria and Iran before the Islam were used for this purpose earlier.
