süveg (Hungarian high cap)
Tall and cylindrical cap for men. Several different names are known for it (black high cap, felt fur cap, frounced fur cap). The use of this article of clothing in nobles' wear was widespread in the 16-17th century, in fact in Transylvania even women wore it. It was made out of felt or velvet and decorated with eagle, crane or heron feathers. From the 17th century it became a regularly-worn part of the peasantry's clothing.
