suba (Hungarian word for wide sheepskin coat)

A cloak-type, ankle-length coat made of the furry skin of lung-fur Hungarian sheep. In the 17th century suba mainly meant a short sleeved or sleeveless coat mainly padded with fur. Under the Turkish occupation this item of clothing was also popular among the citizenry.
