A master craftsman who wove braids and trimmings or ribbons from silk, fur, cotton, silver and golden threads. His products were 1-2 cms wide, with or without patterns, and they decorated clothes and furniture covered with brocade and velvet. Their first guild in Hungary was formed in Lõcse in 1492. At first they were in a loose connection with button makers as they were independent industries, but later they united.
