Ratio Studiorum

A book of rules that was in force for a period of more than two hundred years and applied by all Jesuit orders, and which regulates school procedures to the smallest detail. It carefully combines principality and practicality. The first draft of the Ratio was prepared in 1586, but the final version was only accepted in 1599 after thirteen years of careful consideration.
