Bisterfeld, Johann Heinrich (1606-1655)

He was a German Protestant religious writer. He taught at the university of Herborg, but he had to give up his job because of the 30-year war. Gábor Bethlen invited him to Gyulafehérvár, where he taught philosophy and theology. He was a Presbyterian and he had a great influence on Hungarian literary thinking. János Apáczai Csere was one of his students.
