András Prágai (around 1590 -1636)
He was the court priest of György Rákóczi (later Prince). In Szerencs he was commissioned to translate Antonio de Guevera's book Relox into Hungarian: The stirring hour of Princes (Bártfa, 1628). This book about the upbringing of a good and righteous prince was a favourite read among late humanist and stoic educated people. The translation became one of the highest achievements of the Hungarian mannerist prose.
