Collegium Academicum

The construction of the Collegium academicum was commenced upon the order of Bethlen's in 1627-28 in the ducal palace of Gyulafehérvár. At the time of the Duke's death, approximately one third of the building had been completed. The design was modelled on the building of the university of Heidelberg which had a double court.
