The Battle of Szabács (1476)

The manuscript of the historic song written in 1476 was found in 1871 by Dezső Véghely in Csicser in county Ung, in the family archives of Antal Csicseri. The manuscript is kept in the Archives of the National Széchényi Library, Budapest.

Bagonya Curses (1488)

This piece from 1488 probably originates from the area around Esztergom. It was found by Jenő Nyáry in his family archives in Bagonya. The name comes from there. Its present location is unknown.

The poem was written around 1490. It was written down by a Sopron clerk, János Gugelweit. It was found and published by Jenő Házi, an employee of the Sopron Archives.
