the Scolari family
From among the members of the Florentine Scolari family who lived in Hungary, Pipo Ozorai (Filippo Scolari, † 1426) and Andrea Scolari played important roles. Pipo was ban of Temes, King Sigismund's military commander, and Andrea was Bishop of Várad (1409-1426). There were a lot of Italians at the Várad court and most of Andrea Scolari's employees had university degrees. Besides his court, Andrea Scolari also set an example with his patronage.
