This relic was made in 1433 and discovered in 1982 in the library of the Franciscan monastery of the Dalmatian Sibenik, in a Latin codex. The codex, which contains thia relic, might have been compiled in Hungary, in the Benedictine convent of Pécsvárad, in the first half of the 15th century. It belongs to the genre of medieval monastery school books. It contains various ecclesiastic texts, that is hymns, prayers, Biblical stories and legends. Demeter Laskói may have been in touch with the convent.

The Hungarian language master of student John Rotenburg

The linguistic relic, which was written between 1418-22, was deiscovered by Emil Jakubovich in 1923 in Vienna, in a Latin codex of the National Library of Vienna. The one-time owner of the codex was John Rottenburg, a German student, who visited Buda around 1420, and studied Hungarian. The codex is still kept in the National Library of Vienna.
