Hussitism, Jacob of Marchia
Hussitism
It first appeared in Hungary from 1410, when János Husz's student, Jerome of Prague preached in Buda. The Hussites turned against the existing chuch organisation, they doubted the privileges of the church order and demanded holy communion in two scenes. After János Husz's sentence at the synod of Constanz and his death "at the stake" (6 July 1415) it became a social movement in the Czech state. It had three trends: the mild Chalice branch, the radical Campers and the so-called 'Orphans', who followed Husz's teachings.
