church district
Administrational unit of the Roman Catholic church, at the head of which there is the bishop. The bishopric districts were divided into dean districts. The territories of some church districts might have been united as an archbishopric district. Church institutions, organisations, first of all the congregations belonged under the authority of the government of the church district. The institution on the territory of the church district (for example, royal monasteries, parishes) were exempt from the authority of the county bishop, they belonged directly under the authority of the Archbishop of Esztergom, or the Pope himself.

Dalmatian and Croatian prelates
There were three archbishopric districts in the territory of Dalmatia and Croatia with several bishoprics. The bishoprics of Trau, Sebenico, Scardona, Nona, Knini, Korbavia, Zengg and Fára belonged to the archbishopric district of Spalato, the bishoprics of Ossero, Veglia and Arbei belonged to the archbishopric district of Zára. Hungarian royal charters mention only the bishopric of Makra from among the bishoprics belonging to the archbishopric district of Raguza. After Dalmatia came under the authority of Venice, these bishopric districts did not belong to the Hungarian church any more.
